For 32 Euros you can take the train back and forth, getting on and off at whichever of the 5 cities you want. This was our plan for the 25th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The train works very well and is used like we are but also is used by hikers to get to their starting points. Cinque Terre seems to be a popular hiking destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The weather was good (but a bit hot) and it was a Saturday so it was very crowded. We only made it to 3 of the cities. They were as picturesque as advertised and we were glad that we did this excursion but we were happy to get back to Levanta at days end &#8211; it is very nice and noticeably less crowded. We have decided to add two more days to our stay in Levanta.
