Today we travel to Seville. We got on the road again reasonably early. FYI: the parking is costing about 17.5 Euros per day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The scenery on this drive is very pretty – lots of rolling hills with different types of agriculture and lots of orchards. To break up the trip, we stopped in a little town, Arcos de la Frontera, which is built on a large hill. As recommended because the streets are very narrow, we parked at the bottom of the hill and walked to the viewpoint at the top. The town was very picturesque and the view from the top was worth the hike. We stopped on the way back to the car for some tapas for lunch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So far in Seville, we have concentrated (with the exception of some more tapas) on finding our Air B &B and settling in. But, from what I have seen so far, it is a beautiful city. There seem to be lots of wide avenues except for the old town area (where we happen to be staying) and there the roads seem to be even more narrow than Lisbon and Cadiz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We had a bit of an adventure getting our car parked. The parking garage recommended was full. So, the automatic gate would not let us enter. (We noticed later that cars will just wait at the entrance until a spot empties – the system then tells you that a spot is empty and on which level.). Unsure what else to do, Jesse had to backup on the narrow entranceway onto a busy avenue with cars, scooters and pedestrians everywhere. And the fun had just begun as now Jesse had to navigate through the tricky and very narrow streets of old town as we searched for a scarce parking spot.We finally got lucky and found a parking garage about a ten minute walk from our Air B & B. Jesse did well with the driving and I was thankful that my only job was to carry some luggage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This Air B & B is really exceptional. It is very spacious with 4 bedrooms, three bathrooms and a rooftop patio.as I will post some pictures tomorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
