Today is our last day in Levanto. It is bright, sunny and warm and a good day to be outside. After a nice breakfast in our Air B & B, Marley, Payton and I had a nice walk through the town and along the beach.
It is a lot quieter here today than it was on the weekend. I have the feeling that we are just slightly ahead of the busy tourist season. It looks like loads of white sand are being placed on the private areas roped off for the rental of umbrellas and lounge chairs. I think that today they were assembling more of the private changing rooms that you can rent as well.
Yesterday in Bonassola, we enquired about renting lounge chairs and an umbrella. The price was 25.00E to rent two lounges and an umbrella for 4 hours. Knowing the price made sitting on the sand more enjoyable.
All of us went to the beach at a little cove on the way to Bonassola. Brandon went for a swim. Payton and Marley dipped their toes in the Ligurian Sea. In my imagination (typically more exciting than real life), I always thought that it would be fun in a prurient way to be on a beach that allowed topless sunbathing. Of course, in my imagination Sophia Loren or Bridget Bardot were on that beach. There was some topless sunbathing on these beaches – but definitely a lot less exciting than in my imagination.
We are all feeling much back to normal although Payton is getting a new tooth but has been doing well/better with her sleeping.
Tomorrow we head to Garda lake.
